Melissa (she/her) has been a sci-fi, fantasy, mythology nerd and all around spooky gal for the majority of her life. Her primary fandom (and first true love) was Lord of the Rings, followed closely by Firefly and Doctor Who. She has spent most of her career working with the public in Higher Education roles. Once that nearly depleted any hope she had for the human race, she transitioned into software development where she currently specializes in helping teams succeed. With a degree in Entomology, Melissa is the resident Bug Lady and will happily inform you, at length, of all of the biological inaccuracies insects in cinema face. She also won’t let her science-based background get in the way of her love of tarot and crystals. She enjoys crocheting, baking, hiking, gardening, drawing, hyping people up, and talking about how smart her cats are. Seriously, one opens jars and cabinets and knows how to roll over.
